CLASS RULES

Following an activity suggested by Macmillan-Heinemann, I decided to put the class rules on cardboard T-shirts. Students worked in pairs to read, understand and write their own class rules in a funny way. Then, we hanged the rules on a clothesline! Here are some examples:

SCHOOL DAY OF PEACE

PEACE IS NOT A SEASON, IT'S A WAY OF LIFE We celebrated Peace and Non-violence on January 30th. We contributed to the activities at school with our 'THOUGHTS FOR PEACE', written by 1st year E.S.O. students on different paper doves. If people read our messages, the may reflect upon the meaning of peace for a while. We hope so...

SAINT THOMAS'GYMKHANA! On January 24th, all the Departments in our school organised a super gymkhana with activities we had designed after several meetings.The English Department had a "Trip around Britain" , an interactive trivial type of game; the Music Department had a"Guess the Instruments" activity; Sciences challenged students to smell and guess different substances... and lots more! Here are some of the participants:

Christmas Activities! In the English Department, we were ready to say goodbye to the 1st term. SWEET FAREWELL with a French breakfast with crêpes and English Christmas Carols and, afterwards, our MASTERCHEF DESSERT CONTEST where students brought recipes written in English and French and showed their cooking abilities: HERE IS THE EVIDENCE! We also had games, a music concert and even the performance of a magician!!!!

NOVEMBER 25TH. WHITE RIBBON CAMPAIGN: Stop Violence Against Women

Every year we do something special to remember this particular date. Sadly, it's still necessary to do so because, not only in our country, but in many parts of the world, many women suffer from emotional and physical abuse. This abuse will most likely result in death if we don't stop it...NOW. WE ARE ALL TOGETHER IN THIS! WHAT CAN YOU AND ME DO THIS YEAR?
